The Feist Dog is a small hunting dog breed that descended from the terriers and was later imported into the United States by working-class immigrants. They were bred for their super winding ability as their ancestors, the Kemmer Curs. Originally called the Old Cajun Squirrel Dog, this Feist was developed by Robert Kemmer by crossing the Bounce Mountain Feist bloodline with some of his smaller Kemmer Stock Mountain Curs. An occasional combing and brushing to remove dead hair is all it needs. The Kemmer Stock Hybrid Squirrel Dog is easy to groom. ![]()
